Here is a look at the Monday sessions of Buccaneers training camp, as they happen. Check back throughout the day for the latest news, notes and developments.
6:50: And the horn sounds, signaling that's it for Monday. Special teams work is on tap for tomorrow afternoon, then another two-session day on Wednesday.
6:35: Not sure what Raheem Morris didn't like about a pass play broken up cleanly by Mack, but he just made the whole team run a sideline-to-sideline gasser.
6:32: Back to full team drills, 11 on 11 at midfield. McCown a long completion to Cortez Hankton and a bomb to Kelly Campbell, who made the sideline catch despite interference from Elbert Mack.
6:20: 7 on 7 is over. Specials teams blocking drills begin now.
6:12: In 7 on 7 from the 9-yard line - inside the red zone - touchdown passes are coming fast and furious. Byron Leftwich fired a bullet to Maurice Stovall over the middle. then Luke McCown hit a fade to Derrick Ward in the back corner.
6:10: Nickelback Elbert Mack interecepted a pass Luke McCown didn't get enough trajectory on. That's Mack's third pick of camp.
6:07: That's it for 11 on 11. Onto 7 on 7, where Aqib Talib nearly intercepted Luke McCown. He came out of nowhere.
6:02: Coach Raheem Morris scolded the offensive line yesterday, but the zone blocking looks good so far today. Derrick Ward and Cadillac Williams just ripped off consecutive big gains.
5:59: Angelo Crowell tweaked a hamstring this morning, so Quincy Black is taking snaps with the first team defense.
5:56:The team period has begun - 11 on 11. This is the good part and there's a pretty good crowd here to watch.
5:18:Coach Morris just made his way over to the media tent to give the crowd of writers huddled around the tables a good-natured ribbing for being underneath the tent and not spread across the field.
"I give you all this access and you guys are sitting around in one spot."
5:05:The Bucs kicked off their afternoon session by practicing not catching simulated punts and covering upside down garbage cans.
4:50:The afternoon practice hasn't even started yet, and Clifton Smith is already putting on a show for the fans anyway. He's fielding punts, but instead of getting rid of each ball after catching it, he's holding on to them to see how many he can hold on to while still catching others.
His best number so far is five. He fielded a sixth ball, but rolled backwards onto his back, the ball dropping out of his hands. With an act like that, when Smith's career is over he might have a future in the circus.
11:46: Wide receiver Sammie Stroughter just walked off the field with what appears to be a heat-related condition.
Also, Antonio Bryant has yet to make an appearance with the receiving corps this morning. Bryant missed practice with a sore knee, but said it was not serious. He should be back on the field by Wednesday (Tuesday is a special teams workout).
11:40: Members of the University of South Florida's football team are currently at morning practice. All are on the sidelines and watching practice.
11:20:Just had our first 11-on-11 drill. All the plays were running plays and the O-line responded well.
11:01: Former USF standout DE Jarriett Buie has done a good job of displaying his strength during morning practice.
During 3-on-2 drills (three offensive lineman vs. two defensive lineman), Buie flung T Anthony Alabi to the ground twice on consecutive plays. Although a tad undersized (6-3, 260), Buie is showing flashes of potential.
10:59: One day after being called out by Coach Raheem Morris the offensive line is off to a good start.
In a four-on-two drill it was getting the better of the Bucs top defensive linemen.
10:40:Tampa Bay defensive tackle Greg Peterson is back in practice after missing time due to a knee injury. Peterson is in full pads and is fully participating.
10:38: No shelter if you are looking for shade - if you are a bucs player. There is no cool-down tent at One Buc.
10:15: Tampa Bay players are wandering onto the field for warm-ups. They look a little less chipper this morning. Perhaps they are in fear of Raheem's wrath.
