Disney World tickets pricier

LAKE BUENA VISTA - The "happiest place on Earth" got a little pricier this week.
Walt Disney World raised the price of a one-day, one-park adult ticket to $79, up from $75. The same ticket for a child 3 to 9 years old goes from $63 to $68. Prices for the resort's multiday ticket packages also are higher.
The ticket increases come as the Walt Disney Co. recently announced its third-quarter profit dropped 26 percent as slower DVD sales pushed its movie studio into the red. It's the first increase in admission prices at Disney World since August 2008.
