Cashing in with clunkers

During President Obama's campaign, I recall seeing an interview clip of a woman who attended one of his rallies. When asked why she was voting for Obama, she responded, "Obama is going to pay my mortgage and put gas in my tank."

Well, fast forward to 2009: Not only has Obama helped pay peoples' mortgages (using taxpayer dollars), he's also gone a step further than putting gas in peoples' tanks. He's actually assisting them in buying a whole new car (also using taxpayer dollars). This "Cash for Clunkers" program should infuriate all tax-paying citizens, and those who have participated in it should be ashamed of themselves for using other peoples' money to help buy a car for themselves.

Created under the guise of reducing carbon dioxide emissions and increasing fuel mileage, "Cash for Clunkers" is nothing more than just one more example of redistribution of wealth, which is something Obama said he would do and will continue doing until the American people put a stop to it.
