Annual event continues today
Just 15 days until school starts.
To get the whole family in the classroom groove again, head to the Back to School Bash from noon to 4 p.m. today at the Tampa Convention Center, 333 S. Franklin St.
Kids can get a free bicycle helmet, and enjoy free bead-making, face-painting and food samples. Free haircuts were given Saturday.
Parents can learn about tutoring programs and financial planning for college, and sample foods for kids' lunches.
Other last-thrills-of-summer fun includes bounce houses, arts and crafts, and a petting zoo. Prizes also will be given away.
The cost is $9 for adults; kids 12 and younger get in free, with a limit of three kids per paying adult. You can get a $1-off coupon at www.backtoschool bash.com.
The Tribune is a sponsor of the event.
