Have you ever withheld medical information or symptoms from your doctor? If your answer is yes, you're not alone.
Afraid that your insurance company will blackball you or raise your premiums? Afraid the information will stop you from getting life insurance at a reasonable cost or not at all?
Afraid your medical records will reflect pre-existing conditions when you only had a headache? Afraid you will be sentenced unfairly by some insurance clerk making medical judgments?
Does this backfire on the insurance companies? I think so. I just turned 65 and received my Medicare card. No more outrageous health premiums, and, best of all, I feel free to tell my doctor the whole truth.
The insurance companies be damned.
