A man escaped serious injury when his car crashed into a Safety Harbor home this morning, Pinellas County sheriff's deputies say.
Austin Taylor Bottie, 20, of Safety Harbor, was six blocks away from his home at 214 Meadowcross Drive when his 2006 silver Honda two-door car struck the house at 102 Forest Circle about 5 a.m., deputies say.
Bottie was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening. No one was home at the Forest Circle home, which had damage to one concrete block wall.
Deputies continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
