NEW PORT RICHEY - A 43-year-old New Port Richey woman was arrested Thursday night, accused of drunken driving with four youths in her sport utility vehicle.
Deputies got a be-on-the-lookout call for a possible drunken driver in a white 2002 Cadillac Escalade headed toward U.S. 19 and Main Street. A deputy spotted the SUV behind The Tampa Tribune building at 6214 U.S. 19, according to the report, and spoke with the driver.
Stacey Marie Pizza of 9631 Lakeview Drive showed many signs of impairment and reeked of alcohol, according to a Pasco sheriff's office report.
She voluntarily submitted to a field sobriety test and failed breath tests that registered blood-alcohol levels of 0.113 and 0.102, the report states. Florida state law presumes impairment at 0.08.
Two 3-year-olds, a 6-year-old and a 16-year-old were in the vehicle. They were not harmed.
Pizza was taken to the Land O' Lakes Jail where she was booked on charges of DUI (third offense) and child neglect. Bail was set at $2,150.
