Plant City pedestrian killed in hit-and-run

PLANT CITY - A pedestrian was killed earlier this morning after being struck by a hit-and-run vehicle on State Road 39 north of McGee Road in Plant City, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.
According to the patrol, a southbound Ford struck the pedestrian and then left the crash scene. The FHP said paint flecks and vehicle parts left at the scene indicate the vehicle was a white Ford pick-up truck or SUV. The male pedestrian has not been identified.
Anyone with information about the crash should contact the FHP.
