Shriners hospital doctor arrested for DUI

TAMPA - A co-director of anesthesiology at Shriners Hospital for Children in Tampa was arrested early Saturday and charged with driving under the influence.
Spencer C. Blanton, 45, of 6908 River Blvd. N., was arrested at 12:42 a.m. on Glen Harwell Road west of Plant City.
The sheriff's office reported Blanton had a blood-alcohol content of 0.12 at the time of his arrest. The legal limit for intoxication is .08.
Blanton was released at 10:40 a.m. Saturday from the Orient Road Jail on $500 bail.
Shriners hospital is at 12502 N. Pine Drive.
