Three tropical systems formed this weekend, but none will have much impact on the Bay area.
Tropical Storm Claudette formed just off the Gulf Coast. There were some higher gusts and rough seas Sunday, but as the system pulled away toward the Panhandle, the impact diminished.
With wind speeds near 50 mph, Claudette was expected to make landfall today. No significant flooding or wind damage is expected. A tropical storm warning reaches from Alabama to the Aucilla River.
Tropical Storm Bill is expected to reach hurricane strength today in the Atlantic and head northwest and remain off the eastern U.S. coast.
Tropical Depression Ana will track through the Caribbean Islands and should weaken. If the system holds together, it will head into the Gulf and may toss moisture in our direction late in the week.
