TAMPA - Members of a committee studying the Tampa Bay Rays' stadium options may start giving their opinions today about where the Rays should locate, what a stadium should look like and other issues.
The ABC Coalition, a panel of business leaders from the Bay area, has been meeting for nearly a year on whether to renovate Tropicana Field in downtown St. Petersburg or build a new stadium.
Until now, its public meetings have mostly been fact-finding affairs, where members listen to reports on the various options.
Today, the group is expected to hear reports on how to build fan and corporate support for the team, according to its agenda. But the coalition also should begin debating options presented over the past year, said Judy Mitchell, the coalition's co-chair and spokeswoman.
The coalition will meet at 2 p.m. at the EpiCenter, 13085 58th St. N., Room 1-455, in Clearwater.
