Deputies to give families flash drives

TAMPA - Hillsborough County deputies will give families at Westfield Brandon Mall a free computer flash drive today so recipients can store family photos on them.
"One of the most important tools for law enforcement in the recovery of a missing child or family member is an up-to-date, good-quality photograph along with descriptive information," a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office news release states.
Deputies say the flash drives will be "a simple yet effective tool in helping store vital information so you can be prepared in the event of an emergency when every second counts."
Deputies will hand out the flash drives from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
