Tennis coach charged with DUI

A tennis coach for Saddlebrook Resort in Pasco County was charged early Saturday with driving under the influence after a traffic stop in Tampa.

The Tampa Police Department said Josy Gonzaga Lemos-Soares, 28, was stopped shortly after 3 a.m. at the junction of Fowler Avenue and Interstate 275 because her Silver Saturn was swerving in and out of her lane on the interstate.

Lemos-Soares lives at Saddlebrook Resort, 5700 Saddlebrook Way, Wesley Chapel.

Lemos-Soares' eyes were bloodshot and her breath smelled of alcohol, police said.

A blood-alcohol test reported a level of .15, nearly double the legal limit for intoxication.

By late Saturday afternoon, Lemos-Soares remained in custody at the Orient Road Jail on a $500 bond.
