Missing senior turns up at his Clearwater home

An 84-year-old man missing from his Top of the World apartment in Clearwater since Saturday night turned up at his home this morning, ending a search by the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
He was safe and in good spirits, though the sheriff's department did not know where he was since leaving the apartment.
The sheriff's office said Robert Schaeffer was last seen at his home at 2231 Utopian Drive E. about 9 p.m. Saturday.
His wife woke up about 3 a.m. today and realized he was no longer in the apartment. He suffers from Alzheimer's and did not have the daily medication he requires, the sheriff's office said.
