TAMPA - Traffic is flowing again but commuters should be careful on southbound Interstate 275 after four accidents this afternoon that involved 15 vehicles.
Although there were no fatalities or serious injuries, ambulances and FHP officers are still on the scene investigating, said Sgt. Larry Kraus, an FHP spokesman.
Kraus cautioned commuters to be cautious but not to feel they have to avoid the road.
"They need to be patient," Kraus said. "It is going to be slower than normal until all the emergency vehicles get out of the way."
The accidents were reported at 2:50 p.m. When the accidents occurred, the far left lane was completely blocked and the other two lanes slowed to a crawl, Kraus said.
The lanes have been cleared but traffic is moving slow, Kraus said.
The FHP doesn't yet have details on the accidents started. Kraus said none of the accidents resulted in serious injuries.
"It looks like it was a couple of fender benders," Kraus said.
