Road opens on east side of Tampa International

TAMPA - A four-lane divided highway opened to the public Tuesday morning along the eastern boundary of Tampa International Airport.
The road links Hillsborough Avenue on the north and Ohio Avenue, just south of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, on the south.
The $21 million project will serve as the primary north-south access for the airport's east side development area, which will include the eventual relocation of the air cargo area to make room for the new North Terminal, which is expected to be built about 2020.
