A husband and wife were arrested Wednesday evening after they brought their 1-year-old child with them to sell some oxycodone to undercover detectives in Largo, authorities say.
Kesha and William Adkins of Clearwater were taken into custody at 3460 East Bay Drive after selling $500 worth of the painkiller, Largo police say. The couple are also accused of taking part in previous illegal transactions, police say.
Kesha Adkins, 27, was charged with two counts of trafficking in oxycodone, two counts of selling oxycodone, one count of marijuana possession, one count of child neglect, one count of doctor shopping and one county of using a two-way communication device for illegal activities.
William Adkins, 34, was charged with one count of being the principle to a transaction involving the trafficking of oxycodone, one count of being the principle to transaction involving the sale of oxycodone and one count of child neglect.
The 1-year-old was released to family members, police say.
