After banks and car dealers got a windfall from our government, doing away with cost-of-living adjustments for seniors on Social Security seems both unfair and prejudicial.
Anyone who believes we are not paying more for utilities, groceries, medications and the few luxuries we can still afford needs to think again. Even feeding a cat costs more these days! And for me, buying a steak is just not going to happen.
Government money is our money, too; and while bank executives and corporate officers are living the good life, I have no intention of sacrificing silently. As the world moves forward and the economy upward, retirees should not be expected to stand still for two years or sink into debt just to survive.
I protest.
