PLANT CITY - The Tampa Bay Tech offense overcame a shaky start as the running game broke away in the second half helping the Titans to a convincing win against Plant City.
The game started off on a explosive note for the Raiders as Cortez Harrgett took the opening kickoff the distance for an 88-yard touchdown.
But Tech answered right back as Derrick McCray took his return 95 yards and after only 30 seconds the Raiders found themselves with only a one point lead after the Titans failed to score on a 2-point conversion.
The Titans found the end zone once more in the first half, Raiders' defensive back Derrick Anderson returning an interception 99 yards to give Plant City a 14-12 lead at the half.
The Titans' strong running game took over in the second half, eating up huge amounts of the clock as fullback Maurice Hagens and company put the game away.
Hagens finished the game with six carries for 72 yards, while Williams also rushed 10 times for 75 yards with one rushing TD as well as four passes for 72 yards, including one score.
