Body Found In Burning Dumpster Called Homicide

ST. PETERSBURG - St. Petersburg police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a burned trash container later Saturday night as a homicide.
Firefighters found the man's body when they answered a call for a burning trash container.
Homicide investigators from the St. Petersburg Police Department have not identified the man or released a cause of death other than the man died from "homicidal violence".
The city fire department was called to a fire in a trash container about 11:10 p.m. Saturday in an alley behind a house at 1024 Ninth Ave. S. and found the body inside.
