Two men at a Super Bowl party were disruptive and refused to leave, and when officers tried taking them in to the station, the men began fighting with each other before kicking out police cruiser windows, Tampa police say.

Officers arrested 26-year-old Kevin Glover and 27-year-old Kenneth Glover about 2:30 a.m. today. An arrest report doesn't say if the Glovers are related; they live together in St. Petersburg.

Officers first responded to 6106 Suwanee Ave. after receiving a call about a disturbance. Kevin Glover had threatened to throw a brick through the caller's window, police say. The Glovers, who were next door at a Super Bowl party, were argumentative with police.

Officers took the Glovers to the ground because the men approached them aggressively, a police report states.

The Glovers were placed in a marked police unit.

At the 300 block of East Hanna Avenue, the Glovers "began to argue with one another and then started to fight with one another in the back of the police car by head butting each other and kicking," the report states.

Officers stopped the patrol vehicle and removed Kevin Glover from the back seat.

Both men then kicked the officers, police say.

Another officer, who was transporting an unrelated inmate, stopped to help. While Kevin Glover was being placed in that officer's marked unit, Kenneth Glover kicked out the window of the other vehicle, bending the frame and causing $600 damage, according to the report. Kenneth Glover again tried kicking officers.

When the officers were securing Kenneth Glover, Kevin Glover partially kicked out another window, causing about $400 damage, police say. Kevin Glover later failed to kick out a patrol vehicle's side window.

Because Kenneth Glover continued resisting, an officer used pepper spray on him, police say. Ultimately the men were taken to Orient Road Jail in a transport wagon and were placed in holding cells because they remained uncooperative.

The Glovers and the officers were not injured.

Kevin Glover and Kenneth Glover each were charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing or opposing an officer without violence, assault on a law enforcement officer, battery on a law enforcement officer and criminal mischief.

They remained in Orient Road Jail today. Their bail was set at $3,750 each.
