TAMPA - Pittsburgh became the first franchise to win six Super Bowls, rallying past the Arizona Cardinals, 27-23, Sunday as a pro-Steelers crowd roared in approval at Raymond James Stadium.
Two minutes after Arizona took its only lead of the game, the Steelers drove 78 yards in eight plays. Santonio Holmes capped the game-winning march by catching a 6-yard touchdown pass from Ben Roethlisberger and keeping his feet inbounds with 35 seconds remaining.
Sparked by the longest play in Super Bowl history, a 100-yard interception return by James Harrison, the favored Steelers led, 20-7, after three quarters before Arizona quarterback Kurt Warner began shredding the No. 1 defense in the NFL.
With their sixth Super Bowl win - and second in four seasons - the Steelers pulled ahead of Dallas and San Francisco, which have both won the Vince Lombardi Trophy five times. DETAILS, SUPER BOWL SECTION
