Riverview Man Charged With Having Sex With Minor

A 25-year-old Riverview man had sex with an underage girl Sunday, Hillsborough County deputies say.

Deputies arrested James Bogun about 11:30 a.m. Sunday in Brandon. He was charged with lewd and lascivious battery and violating probation.

Bogun, of 12438 Midpointe Drive, had sex with the victim, and the two were seen in bed asleep and naked by his sister and the victim's relative, an arrest report states. The victim's age wasn't listed in the report.

The victim told investigators she and Bogun had sex, and a nurse examiner indicated there was evidence of intercourse, the report states. Bogun said he and the victim, whose name he doesn't know, were in bed fully dressed and never had sex but "might have touched briefly when sitting next to each other earlier."

Bogun remains in Orient Road Jail today. His bail has not been set.
