FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Sha Brooks scored 25 points, including four 3-pointers, as No. 12 Florida pulled away for a 94-78 victory over Arkansas on Sunday.
The Gators made 13 of 21 3-pointers, including six of their first eight attempts.
After falling behind by as many as 15 points in the first half, Arkansas pulled to 37-30 just before intermission. Brooks then made a 12-footer at the buzzer for a 39-30 Florida lead at the break. Brooks also had 10 assists, her first career double-double.
The Gators (20-2, 6-1 SEC) beat Arkansas for the fifth time in a row, while the Razorbacks (12-9, 1-6) have dropped their last two in league play. The effort also marked the most points scored by a Florida team this season and the most 3-pointers made in a game in program history.
Following intermission, the Gators again quickly built the lead back up to as much as 25 points, at 72-47, with 9:50 left.
NO. 5 AUBURN 66, LSU 55
BATON ROUGE, La. - Alli Smalley scored 21 points, hitting all five of her 3-point attempts, and No. 5 Auburn bounced back from its only loss of the season with a victory over LSU.
Smalley made three quick 3s to open the second half and help Auburn (22-1, 6-1 SEC) turn a five-point halftime deficit into a 32-30 lead. After LSU tied it at 34, Whitney Boddie scored six points during an 8-2 run and Auburn pulled away from there.
Boddie finished with 14 points while DeWanna Bonner scored 18 for Auburn.
Kristen Morris led LSU (11-8, 4-3) with 14 points, but left the game with 1:07 to go after twisting her left knee.
NO. 10 NORTH CAROLINA 98,
N. CAROLINA CENTRAL 45
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Italee Lucas scored 17 of her 19 points in the first half to help No. 10 North Carolina (19-3) beat North Carolina Central (8-15).
Rashanda McCants added 14 points for the Tar Heels, who scored the game
North Carolina, which led 57-19 at halftime, shot 54.9 percent from the field en route to totaling at least 90 points for the 10th time this season.
Chasidy Williams scored 22 points to lead N.C. Central, playing in its second year as a Division I member.
The Eagles shot just 23.9 percent from the field, finishing with seven assists and 21 turnovers.
NO. 19 VIRGINIA 88,
LONGWOOD 50
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Lyndra Littles scored 13 of her 17 points in the first half to help No. 19 Virginia beat Longwood.
Kristen London hit three 3-pointers en route to a career-high 15 points. Ariana Moorer also had 15 for Virginia (18-4), which has won three straight games.
Becky Fernandez scored 14 points to lead Longwood (6-14).
NO. 20 VANDERBILT 88,
ALABAMA 64
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Christina Wirth scored 21 points and No. 20 Vanderbilt routed Alabama.
Merideth Marsh added 17 points, hitting five 3-pointers for the Commodores (17-5, 6-1 SEC). Chanel Chisholm had 10 points and Jence Rhoads had eight assists.
Varisia Raffington scored a career-high 27 points, including seven 3-pointers, to lead Alabama (12-10, 0-7).
NO. 23 XAVIER 74,
ST. BONAVENTURE 59
CINCINNATI - Ta'Shia Phillips scored 15 points and grabbed 21 rebounds to lead No. 23 Xavier (19-4, 7-0 Atlantic 10) past St. Bonaventure (15-6, 4-2).
It was the Musketeers' 10th straight victory.
Tudy Reed added 15 points, including five on consecutive possessions to cap a 10-0 run with 15:04 left that put Xavier in control.
Dana Mitchell led St. Bonaventure with 11 points, and Katelyn Murray and Jessica Jenkins each scored 10.
April Phillips added 15 points and 13 rebounds for Xavier, which outrebounded the Bonnies 50-22, including 21 offensive rebounds that led to 23 second-chance points.
