TAMPA - Police arrested a South Carolina man on Monday, accusing him of selling unauthorized NFL merchandise at Raymond James Stadium.
Travis Collins, 27, was released from a Hillsborough County jail this morning on $2,000 bail. He is charged with felony vending of counterfeit goods, records show.
Police arrested Collins about 10 a.m. Monday in a stadium parking lot, selling counterfeit NFL T-shirts from his vehicle, an affidavit states.
Police warned the public prior to Sunday's Super Bowl about counterfeit merchandise, noting it can be of inferior quality. Shirts and other items licensed by the National Football League contain a hang tag with a hologram and unique serial number, they said.
