OKLAHOMA CITY - Pat Summitt's 1,000th win will have to wait at least another game.
Courtney Paris' record 112-game double-double streak came to an end, but Whitney Hand matched her career high with 20 points to help No. 2 Oklahoma beat 12th-ranked Tennessee 80-70 on Monday night for the Sooners' 15th straight victory.
Summitt was denied in her first attempt at reaching the coaching milestone. She'll get another chance on Thursday when the Lady Vols host Georgia.
Paris had nine points and 12 rebounds and got a standing ovation when she fouled out with 38.2 seconds left.
Paris' sister, Ashley, led the Sooners (19-2) with 19 points.
Shekinna Stricklen scored 19 to lead the Lady Vols (16-5).
DUKE 69, BOSTON COLLEGE 58: Chante Black scored 15 points to lead No. 4 Duke (18-2, 6-1 ACC). Mickel Picco scored 18 points for the Eagles (17-5, 5-2), who had their four-game winning streak broken.
MARYLAND 72, FSU 71: Kristi Toliver's 3-pointer at the buzzer lifted No. 13 Maryland (17-4, 5-2 ACC) to a win over No. 15 Florida State, snapping the Seminoles' nine-game winning streak and handing them their first conference loss.
Tanae Davis-Cain scored 19 points for FSU (18-5, 6-1).
S. DAKOTA ST. 83, IPFW 56: Jennifer Warkenthien had 26 points and nine rebounds as No. 25 South Dakota State (21-2, 10-1 Summit League) jumped out to a 12-0 lead and coasted to a win over IPFW (3-19, 2-9).
