A herd of about eight goats spent part of this morning on the Veterans Expressway until Hillsborough County deputies shooed the animals away.
About 4 a.m., deputies came to the expressway south of Waters Avenue and shooed the goats away from the eastbound exit lanes and toward the side of the road.
There are five black, two brown-and-white and one brown goat. All are fully-grown, but deputies do not know their ages, Sgt. Ed Kelley said.
Deputies do not know where the goats came from. They have been impounded.
Anyone with information on the goats should call 813-247-8605 and ask for the environmental agricultural unit.
