Deputies Say Woman Beat Mother, Ruined 52-Inch TV

Lisa Ann Houghtalin pulled her mother's hair, kicked her in the stomach, choked her and threw a coffee cup into a 52-inch television, causing $1,200 damage Wednesday afternoon, Hillsborough County deputies say.
The incident at Houghtalin's home in Riverview began about 4:41 p.m. as the result of an argument over Houghtalin's mother wanting to take Houghtalin's daughter out of town, sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said. A report didn't say why that idea upset Houghtalin.
Deputies arrested Houghtalin, 28, about half an hour later.
She was charged with battery and criminal mischief.
Houghtalin remained in Orient Road Jail today. No bail has been set.
