Local law enforcement officers tried their skills this morning at water-gun races and pingpong-ball tosses, checking for foul play along the midway at the Florida State Fair.
Each of the games at the state fairgrounds needs to conform to specific regulations to ensure no cheating, authorities said.
For instance, officers measured tiny fishbowls at the pingpong-ball toss to determine that the bowls were not more than one inch apart in any direction except on the diagonal and that the table supporting the bowls was not more than four feet high.
The state fair opened this morning and runs through Feb. 16.
