TAMPA - Rumor has it that Robert Marve is heading to the University of Florida as a walk-on. His former high school coach doesn't know where that rumor originated, but he says it's not true.
While walking on with the Gators remains a possibility for Marve, Plant coach Robert Weiner said the former University of Miami quarterback is far from making a decision on where he will land next.
"We're still exploring everything," Weiner said.
Since deciding to transfer from Miami, Marve has become a recruit again, able to take five official visits. Several schools have expressed interest in him, including South Florida, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and UCLA.
Marve plans to visit his five schools during spring practices, and he hopes to make a decision by late March or early April, Weiner said.
