Man Charged With Murder In Clair-Mel City Death

TAMPA - A 53-year-old Tampa man has been arrested on a charge of first-degree murder.
Hillsborough County deputies arrested Paul Dotson at 5:45 p.m. today at 78th Street. Investigators say he killed 57-year-old Judith Rolander last month.
About 3 a.m. Jan. 12, deputies responded to a 911 call from Rolander's mobile home in Clair-Mel City at 2413 82nd St. S., Lot 14. There, they found Rolander's bruised and battered body.
According to Dotson's arrest report, an autopsy showed Rolander had been strangled and beaten so badly her spleen was lacerated.
Her family declined to comment today.
Dotson was arrested at 78th Street and Palm River Road and booked into the Orient Road Jail at 6:27 p.m. His bail has not been set.
