From really short skirts, cool shades, bad hair and hot airport looks, the stars came to the Super Bowl in style.

The Super Bowl has come and gone (thank goodness).

I'm not a huge football fan, but I did enjoy going to all the fabulous Super Bowl parties. And there were lots of them.

Getting attention is clearly the point for many of the celebrities who stage the glitzy, see-and-be-seen happenings that have become as much a part of Super Bowl week as the game itself.

Scantily clad models, Playboy playmates, a hip-hop mogul, NFL stars, a few actors and lots of wannabe stars kept the fashion patrol plenty busy.

Some of them made us want to throw a penalty flag, while others scored a touchdown.

Here are a few highlights:

Media Day is known for bringing out the fashionable and weird. Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Orpheus Roye got some style points for his Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses. But Vic Jacobs of KLAC sports in Los Angeles got sacked for wearing something that resembled a rodent on his head.

Actress Lindsay Lohan was spotted leaving Tampa International Airport sporting aviator shades, a Burberry leather jacket and carrying a large purple tote bag. Really, how can you go wrong wearing black? We found out Lohan's glazed shimmer jacket is from the Fall '08 London Collection and is available for $945 at Burberry at International Plaza.

At the Super Bowl kickoff party held at the Aja Channelside club, there was all manner of dress, from jeans and tube tops to dresses and leggings. But the style that stood out most was the mini-dress. I spotted minis in silk, sequins, lace and even lame.

The one thing they all had in common: They were short. Really short. The best looks were paired with strappy stiletto sandals. (Note to the woman who wore hers with suede, thigh-high stiletto boots: There's such a thing as trying too hard.)

Another penalty goes to a trio of women clad in Catholic schoolgirl outfits a la Britney Spears. Even if you've got the body - and they all did - if you're older than 20, that look only works if you're in a music video, sliding down a pole or role-playing with your significant other.

Leave it at home next time, ladies.

Over at the Leather and Laces Super Bowl party at Jackson's, Kim Kardashian ("Keeping Up With The Kardashians") showed her support for her boyfriend, New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush, with an adorable miniature Saints football helmet evening bag. The bag, designed by Kathrine Baumann of Beverly Hills, is hand-adorned with 5,000 Swarovski crystals on a 24-karat gold-plated body. It's lined in gold lambskin and sells for $2,999 at www.nflshop.com and www.kbaumann.com.

Party-hopping is a difficult endeavor, but I think I spotted 2007 "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks at every fete I attended. At the Icons of the Good Life Experience, hosted by Diddy on Saturday night at The Venue in St. Petersburg, Sparks showed up in a colorful, A-line dress she said she bought on sale at Juicy Couture. The picture I took came out blurry. (Hey, I was sober!) But believe me, it was a really cute dress.
