Sarasota Body Identified

A body found near North Rye Road in Sarasota County on Thursday has been identified as that of a 22-year-old Sarasota woman.
The body of Lauren Whitney Lichon was discovered just after 2 p.m. Thursday, east of North Rye Road and about 20 feet south of Rye Wilderness Trail.
Investigators think Lichon, 4900 N. Tamiami Trail, was killed sometime early that afternoon, possibly between 1 and 2 p.m. An autopsy was performed today, but the sheriff's office is not yet releasing the cause of death.
