Naked and injured from a blow to the head with a jack handle, a man still tangled with his acquaintances and later, the deputies who arrested him, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said.
Terry Sellers, 26, chased three people away from the Bradenton home where the attack occurred about 3:40 p.m. Saturday, a sheriff's report said. A short time later, deputies found Sellers, "naked and very aggressive," outside the house, at 4705 27th St. W.
Here is how deputies described the incident:
Sellers, Amber Cooper, Shawn Duncan and Michael Moskawitz were partying at the Bradenton home. Sellers made romantic moves toward Cooper, angering Duncan, her boyfriend.
Cooper and Duncan began arguing.
Moskawitz, outside repairing his car, heard the commotion, went inside and saw Sellers kick Cooper in the stomach while she was on the ground.
Moskawitz swung a jack handle at Sellers and hit him in the head.
Sellers stopped fighting and asked the others not to call police. He took a shower to clean up, but when he emerged, naked, he started fighting.
Cooper, Duncan and Moskawitz decided to leave and deputies arrived.
Sellers was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital with a deep cut on his forehead. He refused to cooperate and cursed at deputies and hospital staff, the sheriff's office said.
Investigators say Sellers was the primary aggressor. He was charged with three counts of battery and taken to Manatee County Jail.
