LAND O’ LAKES - A 28-year-old man was charged with having faulty brakes after his pickup truck crashed into the door of a McDonald's this evening.
Albert I. Sims of Odessa said he had fixed the brakes on his 2000 Ford Ranger earlier today, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a report.
The brakes failed and Sims' truck crashed into a glass door, breaking the glass and bending its frame. No one was injured.
The incident happened at 4:55 p.m. at the McDonald's at State Road 54 and The Crossings Boulevard, near the Suncoast Parkway.
