TAMPA - Federal regulators revealed today which television stations decided to end their analog broadcasts on or before Feb. 17, including seven in the Tampa Bay area. About one in four stations across the country decided to go this route.
Other stations likely will opt for the later changeover June 12, a date set recently by legislators to give consumers more time.
Anyone watching TV with over-the-air antennas will need a converter box to see the new digital broadcasts.
The following will end their analog feed by Feb. 17.
PBS – 3 – WEDU
ABC – 7 -- WWSB (Sarasota)
PBS – 16 -- WUSF, University of South Florida
WCLF – 22 -- Christian Television Corporation
MyTV – 38 -- WTTA, Bay Television Inc.
CW – 44 -- WTOG, CBS Operations Inc.
WVEA – 62—Univision
