CLEARWATER - Jerry Lewis is postponing his Feb. 21 performance at Ruth Eckerd Hall until April to prepare for receiving a lifetime achievement award at the Oscars on Feb. 22.
The Clearwater show is now scheduled for April 4 at 8 p.m. Tickets purchased for the Feb. 21 performance will be honored on the later date, and refunds will be honored at their place of purchase. The show combines music, comedy, a question-and-answer session and film clips of the comedian and noted humanitarian.
Tickets priced at $100 (limited VIP), $62 and $45 are available at the Ruth Eckerd Hall Ticket office at 1111 McMullen-Booth Road in Clearwater, by calling (727) 791-7400 or by logging onto www.rutheckerdhall.com. The ticket office is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and one hour prior to showtime.
The Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award is given to those whose efforts have brought credit to the motion picture industry. Lewis will be presented with the award on this year's Academy Awards ceremony.
