Bright House Networks says it has fixed the problem with spotty outgoing phone service this evening.
The problem affected at least 5 percent of all Bright House customers in a seven-county coverage area, including most of the Tampa Bay area, company spokesman Joe Durkin said.
Some customers with home phone service had an intermittent disruption of outbound calls, but the problem was fixed before 6:30 p.m., Durkin said.
