Wayne Tompkins is set to be executed today in Florida as a result of the slaying of a 15-year-old Tampa girl. For his last meal, he ordered fried chicken, banana split ice cream and some water.
"He ate most of it," Florida Department of Corrections spokeswoman Gretl Plessinger said.
The maximum cost allowed for an inmate's final meal is $40.
