Police: Plant City Man Bit Daughter To Teach Her A Lesson

PLANT CITY - A Plant City man was arrested after he told officers he bit his 11-month-old daughter because she was biting people and he wanted to teach her a lesson, police say.
Timothy McAbee Jr., 20, was arrested Tuesday night and charged with child abuse. He is a member of the Crips gang, Plant City police say.
The incident occurred Monday afternoon at McAbee's home. There were three bite marks on the girl – above and below her right elbow and on her right chest area, an arrest report states. Her mother found the marks Monday while giving the girl a bath.
McAbee remained in Orient Road Jail today with bail set at $2,000.
