Sickles center John Henson is one of 20 prep basketball seniors across the country selected to play in the prestigious Jordan Brand Classic, a premier high school boys basketball all-star game to be played in New York in April.
Henson, a 6-foot-10 center, is the No. 3 rated player in the nation and has signed to play at North Carolina.
Henson is one of three Floridians invited.
American Heritage guard Kenny Boynton, a Florida commit, and Arlington Country Day forward and Kansas State commit Wally Judge are also invited.
Past participants include NBA All-Stars LeBron James, Chris Paul, 2008 No. 1 draft pick Derrick Rose and UNC All-American Tyler Hansbrough. The game will be played in Madison Square Garden on Apr. 18 and aired live on ESPN2.
Henson is averaging 17.7 points, 12.4 rebounds and 6.1 blocks per game for the Gryphons, ranked fifth in the latest Class 6A state poll.
Sickles earned the top seed in the Class 5A-District 7 tournament and will play the winner of the Mitchell-Gaither quarterfinal in the semifinal round Friday at 8 p.m.
