Tampa Motorcyclist Dies After Crash On Bayshore

TAMPA - A motorcyclist injured Tuesday in a crash at Bayshore and West Bay to Bay boulevards has died, police said today. Victor Lawrence Strizzi, 22, of Tampa, died at Tampa General Hospital from injuries related to the crash about 1:08 p.m., Tampa police said.
Strizzi's motorcycle crashed into the side of a 2008 Toyota Rav4 after the Toyota's driver, Kevin R. Swift, ran a red light while turning left onto Bay to Bay from Bayshore, police said. Strizzi had been wearing a helmet.
Swift, 35, of Willow Grove, Pa., was cited for running a red light, which is punishable by a $216 fine, police said.
