PLANT CITY - Country singer and dancer Julianne Hough has canceled her March 8 concert at the Florida Strawberry Festival.
Hough canceled due to "an unavoidable scheduling change," the festival said. The festival is offering refunds for fans who bought tickets to her show and is searching for a replacement act.
"We're very disappointed, and we know from Julianne's management that she feels bad about letting her fans down," festival General Manager Paul Davis said in an e-mail statement. "Both sides worked very hard to get her here, but we just couldn't make the logistics work."
Within two to three days, those seeking refunds for tickets already purchased for the concert will receive refund information by e-mail, letter or telephone, depending on the festival's contact information.
Hough is a two-time winner of "Dancing with the Stars" who left the show to pursue her singing career. Reserved tickets to her concert, at 3:30 p.m. March 8, were $10 and $15.
The festival hopes to announce a replacement act within a couple of days.
The festival runs Feb. 26 through March 8.
