TAMPA - A 55-year-old Plant City man was jailed this morning after he walked through the Seminole Hard Rock casino with a handgun tucked into his waistband.
Just before 4 a.m. today, casino workers saw Julian Joseph Lawrence carrying the black firearm in his waistband, visible "for all to see,'' a report states.
Lawrence showed a worker the handgun when he asked her for change, according to authorities. She said she feared for her safety.
Lawrence was charged with openly carrying a firearm and violating a concealed weapon law, both second-degree misdemeanors. He remained in jail this morning on $500 bail, records show.
