Pasco County deputies have identified a suspect they say shot a man four times in front of his wife and child at a Dade City intersection Tuesday.
Authorities are looking for Rudy Vincente Rivera, 20, of 38755 Chapman St. in Dade City, said sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll.
The victim and his wife, both 25, and their 5-year-old son were returning from a trip to a convenience store about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday when they spotted four or five men firing guns at Julian and Gaddis streets.
The victim told his wife to stop the car and got out to confront the group. One of the men pointed what appeared to be a pistol at the victim's head, a report states. The victim raised his hands in front of him as someone started shooting, hitting him three times in the arms and once in the back as he ran toward his family's SUV.
The man is being treated at a local hospital. His name is being withheld because the suspects are at large.
Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to Rivera's arrest.
