Police Say 5-Year-Old Tells Them 'Parents Smoke Drugs A Lot'

A 5-year-old boy told police his parents "smoke drugs a lot" during a drug buy.
The boy's father, Anthony J. Nunez, 33, of Temple Terrace, was held without bail at the Orient Road Jail today on felony child neglect and other charges. Temple Terrace police arrested him Thursday in connection with a drug investigation on Feb. 4, records show.
Temple Terrace police said Nunez sold marijuana to an undercover police officer at his house. A search of the house later found about 225 grams of the drug, along with paraphernalia, according to an affidavit.
Police arrested two other people with Nunez, but they were not identified in an affidavit.
The 5-year-old made the comment during the drug transaction, police said.
