DADE CITY - Warren T. Roberts' wife and girlfriend decided to team up Thursday and confront him about his lying, according to a sheriff's office report.
So about 8:30 p.m. Roberts and his wife sat in his truck at 13415 Johnson St. and started talking about their marital woes, the report states. As planned, that's when the other woman arrived.
Roberts told the women he didn't want to talk to either of them and then told his wife to get out of his truck and leave him alone, according to the report. She refused and asked him to give her his wedding ring. He said he didn't have it with him so she grew angrier and began rummaging through his truck.
Again and again, the report states, Roberts asked his wife to get out of the truck and when she didn't, he went to her door and pulled her out of the truck.
She retaliated by clawing him and ripping his shirt, the report states. She wasn't hurt. He had scratches all over his face, neck and chest.
A deputy investigating the case, however, determined Warren Roberts was the primary aggressor and later arrested the 38-year-old on a charge of domestic battery.
Roberts, of 14740 N. 11th St. in Dade City, was booked into the Land O' Lakes Jail on Friday and has since been released.
