Worker Charged With Growing Pot At State Fair

A man working at the Florida State Fair found himself the main attraction for deputies after an investigator noticed two marijuana plants sunning themselves in his bunk trailer window, police said.
Michell Alex Medeiros, 22, of Cape Coral, was held at the Orient Road Jail today on $2,000 bail. He is charged with felony cultivation of marijuana.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office arrested Medeiros about 11:45 a.m. Friday at the fairgrounds after spotting the plants in the trailer, an affidavit states.
Medeiros told police in the affidavit that the plants belonged to him.
