Walt Disney World is offering a new Florida residents discount with a two-day ticket for $99 plus tax and $83 plus tax for ages 3 to 9.

"Magic Your Way" tickets are valid for one theme park per day and the same person has to use the two-day ticket.

Tickets must be purchased by May 20 and used within 14 days of first use. They cannot be used from April 4 to 18 and expire May 21.

More information can be found at Disneyworld.disney.go.com/florida-residents.

Because of slumping attendance and the financial problems that are slicing into visitors' discretionary spending, Disney has launched its most severe discounting ever.

Attendance at Disney's Orlando theme parks fell 5 percent for the quarter ended Dec. 31.

Disney this year began offering free admission on a patron's birthday, with online registration required.

Disney resorts also are offering savings of up to 44 percent a night for stays through April 2.
