Man Robs Woman, 2 Kids At Tampa ATM

Police are looking for an armed man who robbed a woman with two children at an ATM last week.

Tampa police today released surveillance video from the Bank of America branch at 3439 W. Hillsborough Ave. that shows the Feb. 12 robbery.

The footage shows the man driving behind the building shortly before 8 a.m. and feigning a withdrawal at an ATM drive-through station. The man then circled through the parking lot.

A few moments later, a woman with two children drove up in an ATM lane and withdrew money, police said.

After the woman completed her transaction, the man ran in front of her vehicle and pointed a gun at her, demanding money, police said.

The woman threw the cash out the window and drove away.

Police described the man as black with a light or medium complexion, possibly in his late teens to mid 20s. He stands about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. At the time, he was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with the initials "SCSU" on the front and a glove on his left hand.

The man was driving a silver four-door sedan, possibly a Nissan or Toyota, with a rear spoiler.
